Today the 14th of November is celebrated as Children’s Day in India! Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India was born on this day and after this death this day has been dedicated to all the Children to celebrate childhood.

We had a lot of fun in our Childhood, and its necessary that every child has a good and healthy childhood for a better future to make Good citizens.
Children’s Day on twitter was celebrated in a different way, where many of the twitter users from India changed their Display Pic’s to one of their childhood! That was really fun to see all those cute baby pictures on twitter!

You might have seen this before where I listed the 10 reasons why I like twitter.. well these are same reasons why they make twitter so special :D

1. I am well informed about everything happening in the world: Whether it is earthquakes, Michael Jackson’s sad death or heavy rain in Mumbai, I come to know all of it before its on any news channels thanks to twitter. Thanks to twitter trending topics and the ‘buzzing now’ column of Twitscoop,news bots, staying well informed is very easy. I know most of the things that happen in my city, product launches,etc.

2. I get links to awesome wallpapers,tips,tricks,software etc.: Thanks to twitter and of course some really nice tweeple, I get links to awesome wallpapers, programs for pc and my Nokia N95 8GB, tips and tricks to improve performance of computers, the way we use computers, etc. etc.

3. I get music recommendations: #musicmonday is a good way to get Music recommendations from some tweeps that have a really good taste of music. Thanks to this I have some really nice tracks in my music library! you can follow some of these awesome tweeple from this list of music recos

4. Really nice people on twitter. :) : Twitter has got me in contact with some really nice twitter buddies! yes many friendly users on twitter who share nice stuff and also reply to your tweets, so I’m never lonely on twitter! thank you all buddies! Here’s a list of some really friendly tweeps

5. Sharing is easy: Sharing stuff on twitter is very easy with tools like twitterfeed.com I can add feeds  of my blog and my Last.fm recently played music and it gets tweeted every time there is an update! So people know what music I’m listening to whenever there is a update on my blog or photo albums etc! also sharing interesting links on the internet, and twitpic has made photo sharing so much better!

6. Getting help and assistance is easy: Getting help on problems related to computers, mobile phones, internet etc. is very easy with so many helpful tweeps and developers on twitter! You can get assistance on solving problems related to your pc etc and also can complain about stuff easily to the developer etc and get quick replies with twitter. Here’s a list of some techies

7. People and friends know what I’m doing: That’s one of the main uses of twitter! :P yeah with twitter my followers know what I’m doing and now my friends also follow my updates on twitter and know what I’m upto! so next time I am ill or I’m going out my friends know it :p

8. Contests:  Many contests on the internet have their links posted on twitter and also you can have chances of winning stuff by tweeting! Twitter got even more better with  the lists feature that was introduced to almost all the users today.

For those who don’t know what it is you are at the right place :D
With Lists you can create lists of twitter users for others to follow or even for yourself. for eg. I create a list of Twitter users from Mumbai, with this I can get all their updates at one place and other users get a ready made list of users for them to follow all at once! You can create upto 20 lists each having upto 500 twitter users. you can recommend your followers or the tweeps you follow with lists thus making #followfriday even more smarter and easier, as other tweeple can directly follow an entire list of users instead of following them one by one, also saves your time to mention users one by one. Also on your profile or home page you might have seen this:
“10 listed” in this case.. This means you have been listed in 10 lists by other users… by click on them you get a summary of which user has added you in their list. cool eh?

To create lists:
1. Goto twitter.com and on the right hand side you will see this

2. Then all you have to do is give a name to you list and then add the tweeps by either searching for their names OR by going to your followers list and then clicking adding them to the created lists from the options next to their usernames
there and your done!

2. Formula One : Get full formula one race coverage during Grand Prix from these tweeps
3. Cool tweeps : Really cool tweeple should follow them
4. Must Follow : as the name suggests, you MUST follow them :D
5. Awesome Mumbaikars : List of all the Awesome tweeps from Mumbai
6. Cool techies : List of all the techies.They will surely help you with your PC, or mobile phone probs etc.
7. Friendly tweeps : And with these tweeps you will never ever feel lonely when they’re on twitter.
