Once again it is time to celebrate the Festival of Lights Diwali in India and many other parts of the world! Diwali is a festival celebrated by the Hindus signifies the victory of Good over the Evil. The Word ‘Diwali’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Deepavali’ where ‘Deepa’ – lamp (light) ‘Avali’ – in a row…

People start by cleaning their Homes, they decorate it, they make a ‘Rangoli’ outside their houses. They visit their relatives, greet them with sweets etc. They light the diyas and lanterns and the entire city is sparking with the wonderful lights and a good festive spirit among the people!

The bad part is the pollution that is caused by the fire crackers especially noisy ones… Diwali is a festival of Lights not sound… People keep using these really LOUD ones and its really very disturbing… the waste of the crackers all over the roads…also the smoke that arises after they are burnt… Many people, animals are affected by this. So Please do not use the noisy fire crackers and keep the environment clean and healthy!! PLEASE!

So have a safe, clean, green Diwali and enjoy!
And I wish you all a Very Very

Happy Diwali!
